HOUSE OF DELEGATES
Get ready for our upcoming House of Delegates Meetings! The spring meeting is scheduled for March 7, 2025, and the fall meeting will take place on September 5, 2025. Both meetings begin at 7 PM ET.
These meetings are essential for representing your chapter! It’s where we set priorities and discuss how to enhance the barbershop harmony experience across the northeast.
We encourage everyone to attend! Delegates registered in the BHS Database will receive official invites. For additional details, keep an eye on the NED Calendar, where we’ll provide video conferencing info as the event approaches.

Our Youth Movement is in High Gear! Please Consider a Gift to Keep Us Growing
SCHENECTADY
We held our first HXNE event of the year on January 4th with 28 young singers and 4 Music Educators engaged in barbershop harmony. Chad Putka led the singing, supported by our NED Quartet Champions, Catalyst, who were also former classmates from Mohonasen High School. This time, four local barbershop chapters collaborated on planning and promoting the event, which featured performances on Saturday night to highlight regional singing opportunities, drawing 350-400 attendees. This teamwork fostered a welcoming, inclusive barbershop community and attracted new funding for HXNE. Thanks to The Electric City Chorus, Racing City Chorus, Saratoga Soundtrack, and Capital Land Chorus for their support. Plans for 2026 are already in motion!

QUEBEC UP NEXT!
Now Harmony Explosion North - South Shore is the next one up! We have an HXNE event planned and underway in Saint Lambert QC on March 29th. This will be the first HXNE event ever held in Canada, and we are excited for that possibility.
The South Shore Chapter and the Greater Montreal Chapter are working with Montreal City Voices (HI) and Acappella Sounds Chorus (SAI) and a few others to present an incredible event. Enrollment is strong and donations are needed. Debbie Cleveland will be our Clinician. Along with all of her barbershop community accolades, she is a National Music Educator of the Year. She is absolutely one of the best in all of North America for this type of event. She will be joined by the amazing 3 Leads Quartet as the faculty.
